Granddaughter of Kazumi, the Living Flame, and daughter of Harumi Foralis and Xandor Oakheart, Hikari is a seraph born of radiance yet burdened by untempered fire. Passion has always ruled her: fierce love, fierce loyalty, and, when wounded, fierce wrath. After her mother’s death, that passion curdled into grief and rage. Convinced that Kazumi allowed Harumi to die in divine arrogance, Hikari turned her fury upon the goddess herself. In response, both as punishment and as an act of desperate hope, Kazumi exiled her to Luyarnha, a city where celestials are feared as omens of chaos rather than welcomed as saviors.

What began as punishment has slowly become purpose.

At first, Hikari saw Luyarnha as nothing more than her sentence. Now, she seeks purpose within its suffering. The eldritch curse that festers through the city has drawn her attention, not merely as a threat to be purged, but as a wound to be understood. She has come to believe that Luyarnha’s people are worthy of protection, even if they do not yet trust her. Though no proclamation has named her as such, Hikari considers herself the Guardian of Luyarnha, determined to earn faith through action rather than decree. She labors tirelessly beneath the yoke of the Radiant Church as a Deacon of the Salvation Chapter, choosing humility over divine entitlement.

Yet…she does not stand alone.

Malachai O’Clair, Bishop of the Radiant Church and Chapter Master of the Salvation Chapter, is her steadfast anchor and fiancé; an imposing, fire marked scourgeborne whose discipline tempers her volatility. Proxy, a Jaeger of the Sanguine Chapter and her beloved girlfriend, guides her through the harsher truths of Luyarnha’s world, teaching her how to survive where angels are unwelcome. And then there is Muse: an eldritch shard of Tarlight bound to her spirit. Both manifestation of the very curse she seeks to understand and an intimate companion in his own strange way, Muse grants her the power of a bard and whispers insight from the fracture between worlds.

Hikari’s greatest struggle remains herself. Her emotions burn hot and fast, threatening to overtake reason. Yet she no longer seeks merely to suppress her passions—she strives to refine them. To shape grief into compassion. To turn wrath into resolve. To let love guide her strength rather than consume it.

Anxious, imperfect, and often afraid, Hikari nonetheless rises each day with the stubborn determination to be the protector Luyarnha needs—even if she must first learn how to master the fire within her own soul.
